While cheerleading and song teams had existed for many years on the Palo Alto high school campus, dancers in 2010 often felt left out. They approached Varsity Cheer Coach, Hilary “Mac” McDaniel, about plans to start a Varsity Dance team… and thus the team was born.
In 2015, Coach Alanna joined Coach Mac, and the team completed its inaugural year competing with USA Varsity Dance. Since then, the team has competed in Contemporary, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Jazz, Character, and Novelty, and won numerous accolades at regional, national, and community levels. This 2018-19 season will be the team’s fourth year competing, and hopes to bring back another National title in March.
